This is an excellent item. I have been using a few months and the voice recording is superb. Simple to use and been really clear. The genius of the device is with its AI features using the Plaud AI app you can convert your voice recording into different forms from a transcript to even a really accurate summary of notes that’s excellent for staff meetings. The app does have a subscription model for extra minutes (you get allocated so many per month on the free plan) and I haven’t really gone over the free amount. However, it is something to consider.

Surprisingly good. Microphones are excellent. Call recording work very well. Mag holder (included) is a nice touch. Only gripe is the cost of transcribing. 300 mins included in ‘free’ subscription but I’ve found the transcription to be excellent and the ability to buy more minutes is a nice touch.But where this loses a star is in the Ai integration. The Ai summaries are poor for long meetings, you need to be very careful. My solution is to copy the transcription into another Ai LLM and use it to generate better summary.The mind-mapping is a gimmick.Suggestion to Plaud is to focus on the parts of the product that work really well.

I am an engineer and spent a lot of time writing notes, scribbling them out, trying to jot down important points from the conversation and trying to make sense of these after the call. I am also fed up of writing long emails. My initial impression of this device is very high. I have had it transcribe both technical discussions and emails to my boss. The most impressive feature is that the A.I removes hesitation markers or filled pauses. It also adds the correct punctuation in most cases. This is going to be a game changer for me even if I end up having to pay for a subscription. You can just copy the transcribed text, edit if necessary and email. I am also going to make good use of my Plaud to record technical ideas and be able to add these to word documents etc.
