I was nervous buying this having done lots of research on many translation tools, most had some very bad reviews in some way including this one. However having now used it extensive (for 2 way face to fave translation) to translate between english and Chinese, Japanese, German, and French, I’ve been extremely impressed, it works VERY well. There are only two points that stop it getting top marks:A) For the price, while it comes with a plastic protection cover for the back of the device, it should also come with a protective case for when travellingB) The volume button needs moving, it’s on the side opposite the two language buttons. This means when you hold the device in one hand and press one of the language buttons on the right, because the volume is immediately opposite, I tend to turn the volume down by accident which can be frustration.So ignore the reviews saying this tool is not good… it VERY good, worked extremely wellI’ve now been to China and it was essential, it worked exceptionally well

It is reasonably good for translating when you want to know how to say anything read text or take a photo. However for every day use and conversation it is a little slow doesn’t pick up the conversation fully and does not work at all well when in a room with lots of conversation. Frequently doesn’t pick up the spoken word in noisier areas in everyday life. The on off button is too easy to turn on in its case or pocket therefore device is on but you may not be aware using battery.

Bought 2 X Vasco V4 Language Translator for my daughters as a 2024 Christmas present. In both cases the translators will be used in totally different environments as one daughter lives in the Netherlands and is an Academic who travels very often to international destinations. My youngest daughter lives in zwitserland and works in International childcare where English is the main spoken language but the children age group 3 to 6 years of age are from all over the world.

I am travelling to Thailand and will need some help with the language. I have tested the device at home when I am connected to my home wi-fi and the device works very well. I have had an online chat with a Thai friend and they were impressed. I did try the device when I was out in Liverpool city centre and the internal SIM card worked and so the translation was able to be completed. So in my tests so far I am very pleased with the device. What remains to be seen is how effective the device will be when I am travelling around in Thailand. It won’t translate if it can’t get a connection.

I like the size and style of the translator fits into your hand well and seems to hold good battery charge well the photo translator part is very handy and accurate and a good helper. the translator is fast and sometimes struggles to keep up and you think it did not capture your sentences, but it completes it ok over all ill rate this 95% translatorDislikes price is a bit high for this item. Using Swahili not quite accurate as i guess it’s spoken in so many dialects but was understood enough at times some having to ask again to confirm on their answer the translator to text you must keep hold of the button so you get the full conversation otherwise it will stop and finish, if they pause to long between sentences annoying.
Received this but missing charger in the package , the sale suppose to come with it. –

E’ perfettoCon questo dispositivo, all’estero pur non conoscendo la lingua, non avresti alcun problema!!Anche perché ha la SIM integrata per funzionare ovunque, senza abbonamento o altre alchimie varie. Funziona e basta!!
