Smarter Surveillance with AI Recognition
The Aqara Camera Hub G3 redefines smart home security with advanced AI-powered facial, gesture, and pet recognition. This intelligent camera can recognise familiar faces and greet you as you enter, or identify unknown visitors and send immediate alerts to your phone. Unique gesture control allows you to trigger preset actions with up to five hand gestures, a feature that sets the G3 apart from other smart cameras on the market.
Crystal-Clear 2K Video with Full-Room Coverage
Equipped with a high-resolution 2304 x 1296 pixel sensor, the Camera Hub G3 captures sharp, detailed video. It offers a 110° wide-angle view, while the motorised pan-and-tilt function delivers a 360° viewing experience with up to 340° horizontal rotation. Whether you’re monitoring your home, checking in on pets, or tracking movement, there are no blind spots left uncovered. In HomeKit Secure Video mode, the camera records at 1080p due to platform limitations, while maintaining smooth integration with Apple devices.
Built-In Zigbee 3.0 Hub for Full Home Integration
Beyond being a smart camera, the G3 functions as a powerful Zigbee 3.0 hub, capable of connecting up to 128 Aqara devices. This creates a seamless smart home ecosystem with sensors, automation, and security all connected in one platform. Compatible with HomeKit, Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT, the G3 brings wide-ranging smart home support. While infrared (IR) control isn’t currently supported in HomeKit, users can leverage IR functions through the Aqara Home app, Google Home, or Siri Shortcuts for extended control.
Local Infrared Control and Dual-Band Wi-Fi
With a built-in IR controller, the G3 allows you to automate and control existing infrared-compatible devices without relying on cloud services. All IR functions run locally, ensuring uninterrupted performance even during internet outages. The device also supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi, offering flexibility and reliability when connecting to your network and managing your Aqara devices.
Designed with Privacy in Mind
Aqara prioritises user privacy at every level. The G3 Camera Hub is certified by Apple, Google, and Amazon to comply with their respective security standards. It features a hardware-based privacy mode, which can be activated manually or automatically and is visually indicated by a unique “sleepy face.” All camera data is encrypted, and the device supports WPA3, the latest Wi-Fi security protocol, for maximum data protection and peace of mind.

AI-Powered Facial and Gesture Recognition
By importing your photos, the Camera Hub G3 can trigger personalised automations when you come home. Moreover, with smart gesture recognition, smart home control has become simpler and more fun than ever!
Crystal Clear and Omni-Directional Care, Better than Ever
Via a high-resolution 2304 x 1296 pixel sensor and dynamic bit rate technology, both static and cruise images are crystal-clear. 110° wide-angle lens coupled with the Pan and Tilt motors provides up to 360° rotation angle without any blind areas.
* In HomeKit Secure Video mode, the camera records in Full HD 1080p due to the current limitations of HomeKit technology.
HomeKit Secure Video and WPA3 Are Supported. We Care About Your Privacy
* The cute head cover is detachable and added as an accessory.
* Please note: The privacy mode does not currently work with Apple HomeKit, only with the Aqara Home app. An upcoming firmware release will allow Apple HomeKit to access these features.

I’ve been using the Aqara G3 for a few weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed. It’s not just a camera—it’s a smart home hub, an AI assistant, and a remote control all in one neat, compact unit.Camera Quality: The 2K resolution is super crisp, even in low light. The night vision is clear, and the pan/tilt functionality means I can cover an entire room remotely through the app. It’s very responsive and smooth.Smart Features: The built-in AI is surprisingly accurate—facial recognition works well for familiar faces, and the gesture control is a fun and unique addition (great for quick commands when your hands are full). The motion detection is smart enough to ignore pets most of the time, which is a big plus.HomeKit Secure Video: Set-up with Apple HomeKit was seamless, and I love that it supports HSV. It’s reassuring to know video footage is end-to-end encrypted and stored in iCloud.Compatibility: Works flawlessly with Alexa and Google Assistant too (I tested both), and you can integrate it with IFTTT for some pretty clever automations.IR Remote Function: A really underrated feature! I’ve managed to control my TV and aircon directly through the G3, replacing some of the clutter on my coffee table.Zigbee Hub: If you’re in the Aqara ecosystem or looking to get started with smart sensors, this doubles as a Zigbee hub. I’ve connected door and motion sensors without needing another device—super convenient.UK Plug Version: This model came with a UK plug, no need for adapters. Small detail, but important!Overall: Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable smart indoor camera with loads of features. It’s a bit of an investment, but considering what it offers, I think it’s excellent value for money.

I’m very impressed with this 2k auto-night vision with a 360 swivel view. This camera can be set to preset monitoring positions. And that not all. Packed with many useful & usable features. Facial recognition commands & hand gesture commands makes this product a ACE purchase. The camera has a builtin hub to connect aqara’s accessories and provides a IR remote function for tv, or other remote appliances. Powered by C cable AC supply.Timer to start/end preset monitoring areas & then activate motion detection for animals & people with notification and alarm activation sent to your mobile. Yes alarm The aqara products works well together to make daily tasks simple. With one press of the Aqara wifi button can set multiple things to occurr. eg. Turn off privacy mode protection and deactivate facial recognition which has been set to turn off camera if recognised preset faces. Add a Sd micro card for event recording or continuous recording set to loop if required or take advantage of cloud storage for a subscription fee.Was not to like I hear you say.Well it not portable, can not hold a charge.Just one colour available I think so.No ethernet port. WiFi only. But overall a good indoor camera which can be connected to all Platforms of voice assistant commands. Recommended buy, clearly a clear viewing of 2k resolution to your mobile while away. “It worksss” Thanks so much aqara for a very good working app too.

Setup was relatively straight forward. Once in place however, wifi connection seemed a bit spotty in a mid-sized semi-detached with good networking gear. Loadspeed particularly on Homekit was very slow – Google Home and Alexa was okay but was perceptible lag.Main draw for me is the future-proofing/manufacturer-proofing integrations with Google Home, Alexa and Homekit was okay – but limitations of each protocol meant different functions in each home-ecosystem which led to a bit of confusion. Specifically bought this for Homekit integration, so was slightly disappointed when I had to use the Aqara app for a lot of the functions, because I dislike the idea of being embedded into one manufacturer. Hopefully standardisation in the smarthome industry eg Matter will improve things in the future.Build quality was good – nothing to write home about. But very much enjoyed the automatic privacy shutter of the camera – and gestures were good. However, not stand out features that make this a must have. Hub feature is also good, but can’t take advantage of that currently.Camera quality was a little bit worse than expected, but at this price I think it is fair.Eventually after getting frustrated in setting this up, I returned this and ended up paying more for an Arlo Pro 4. Looking forward to a sequel product which hopefully polishes up the integrations and the speeds.

Super product. Purchased straight after buying the external G5 Pro Hub. These Aqara products are excellent value and so far the quality is very good. The resolution on this camera is a big upgrade on my previous Logitech.Setup and smart home integration (in my case Apple HomeKit) was really very easy and I had this working within less than 10 minutes. It is very feature rich with a number of ways for recording video. I’m still scratching the surface albeit have set this up with HomeKit recording already. I spent a bit of time researching manufacturers as I like to be within the same ecosystem so far I’m glad I was patient and waited to invest in these Aqara items.

Works with HomeKit but
Integrates seamlessly with HomeKit, even without installing the Aqara app. However, to access advanced features like panning & tilting, or rotating the feed if you’re ceiling-mounting it, you’ll need the app. Meaning you will need the Aqara app. Even if you block internet access through your router, the app still keeps uploading data in very small quantities.
