I must have got a defective unit as it worked for about an hour and then died. Ive tried everything to get it up and started again to no avail :(For the first hour though it was impressive and we were just getting the hang of it when it met its demise*Update – Just taken it out again after a month to try it again and alas still no signs of life

Firstly, the AI is very impressive. The device itself is well made and there are a bunch of preset characters available via an app. The app itself is self explanatory and the speakers are clear, with a volume adjustment through your connected device. It has a decent battery life of days when fully charged.The downside is the way you have to interact with it. To speak you have to press a button on the device itself, and this takes away the immersion. It also makes it useless for really young children, and for older children it may make it less usable. Despite that, the voice recognition is good and the AI answers appropriately.I feel a version 2.0 with full voice control would make this justify the nearly £90 price tag, but as it is, it’s more of a gimmick than a real must buy.

Yes it’s fun and the Kids among us will love it. Is it good VFM? Well only you can answer that one but for me personally, a bit on the expensive side.First thing you need to do is charge the main unit then download the App to your Phone / Tablet via the supplied QR Code. You then need to set up a account with email and Password! Once you have done that you are pretty much ready to go and set up the device as you wish via the App.The unit itself is small and neat and I would consider build pretty good and up to the job. The adjustable neck band (to place around Toy) is very small with minimal adjustment so it ain’t going to fit Big Ted!! See attached Photos. Obviously there are work arounds but at this price you shouldn’t have to!Interaction with this AI Device is certainly fun and like I said earlier, the Kids will love this. Overall sound quality is good. However I found own voice recordings a bit muffled. Nothing too drastic but once again worth a mention.I am not going to repeat everything you can read in the Manufacturers Blurb but safe to say this AI Device is a clever bit of kit. It has Memory so will remember certain things like Kids Name etc making interaction fun and more realistic.All in all I am pleased with this AI Device for Kids. Build is good and it’s capable of some great interaction with the little ones. I don’t like the fact you have to “Register” with email and Password just to use the App, and there is (for me) a ? Regarding the overall VFM.

This is a good interactive toy for children. Once you download the app there’s a list of characters to choose from. The voice quality of the character is quite good and clear but the recorded voice of the user isn’t as clear unfortunately it’s very robotic sounding.You have to press the bubble to talk to it so it can reply and talk back. It’s not direct voice activationThe neck band isn’t very long so it will only fit a small medium bear or doll or you can tie the bubble to a longer piece of ribbon or string if necessary.I think it could be improved though by not having to press the button every time you want to speak to it. A direct voice activation would be far better for uninterrupted conversation and interaction. Also improving the recording sound of the users voice as it’s very unrealistic as it is.Apart from that it’s a start in the direction of ai companions and could be beneficial for adults who live alone and would like to hear a different voice to their own occasionallyIs it good value? I don’t know. It’s the first of its kind I have tried so I have nothing to compare it to. Would I buy it at this price? I’m not Sure, I would be a bit hesitant as it’s not direct voice activation and the voice recording sound isn’t great which lets it down, However if it was around the £50 – £60 I would definitely consider it.
