Fantastic ai box fast and reliable

    – Review for ATOTOZONE CB6 Wired CarPlay to Wireless CarPlay/Wireless Android Auto Adapter, Intelligent AI Voice Dongle with GPS Tracking, Wireless CarPlay AI Box with Bluetooth, 4GB+64GB, Compatible Massive APP || Price: £221.99 (at time of ordering) -This is very expensive for what it is – it doesn’t come with a screen or anything, just the AI dongle. It’s designed to connect to a built-in or wired car screen, and make it hands free. Admittedly this has become more useful for the more I play around with it. It takes its own sim card, so you don’t need to be dependant on your phone for GPS. Saying that, it will also connect automatically to your phone when you enter the car if you want it to.It boosts a massive range of apps that aren’t typically available on the pre-installed hubs, though how useful they are really depends on the user. Most people will probably find one or two extras that they really use, which may or may not be worth it. It’s pretty easy to install, and once setup I’ve found it runs very smoothly with minimal lag connecting to calls, navigation, music etc. It’s a nice sleek design, and relatively discrete. If you don’t have CarPlay or Auto installed already, you’re better off buying a wireless setup from the get go. A nifty piece of kit if you’re clear on what value it’s going to add to your setup. Just a bit pricey in my opinion. Recommended.

I wasn’t really sure what expect from this relatively small box, turns out it is packed with features. I used it with a factory installed android auto system and I’m pleased to say that this box was easy to install and get up and running. I like that I can install a SIM card and directly access the internet using the adapter box. Installing apps is also easy, I installed Netflix and managed to log in and watch programmes through the box. My favourite thing though is that my phone seamlessly connects to my car automatically and starts playing my music. This device has transformed my in car entertainment, and although it is pricey, I think it is worth it considering what you are sure to do with it.

I’ve used several different types of carplay devices which turned wired to wireless, most struggling to connect or dropping connection when you least want it too. Then there came this little beauty which ticked all but one of the boxes for quality and reliable. This is pretty simple to connect, taking a few minutes to connect to my phone, using Bluetooth and wifi … once connected it connects automatically from then on.It has 4G of RAM and 64GB of storage, housing a Quamcomm snapdragon 665 Octa-Core processor, which is ample for what this offers. You can slot in a sim card and use this almost like you’d use your android phone, but the sim card will need to be active. I bypass this by using my phone’s hotspot and the wireless feature on this device. You can also slot in a micro-SD card to add extra memory, all the ports are all on the same side of this unit.It comes with many built in apps, which can be uninstalled if you don’t need them, and you can add the ones you want to through the googleplay app. You will have to create an account or add the one you may already have. You can access the internet on this, if connected via a 4G or wifi (tethering), and many other apps too, although one or two apps do seem a little daft, those being Netflix, AIMartz, Hayu and other TV show capable apps. I mean, you’re not supposed to be watching a movie or boxset whilst you’re driving up the M6 North… That’s frowned upon. The home screen can be changed to offer a more personalised feel to it.It also has the chance to listen to your favourite radio station even when you’re out of that broadcast area. The navigation is simple to use, especially if you’ve already used an android satnav, plus, this one has Wave navigation which I prefer to the standard google. In all, this has to be the best carplay unit I’ve ever used, and I’ve used several. It offers so much in such a small package. It connects in seconds and stays connected. It can be used with Apple or Android and allows you to add your own apps with such ease. But is it worth the £220 price tag?It does sound a lot but if you spend a lot of time in your car, especially if you’re waiting for someone who always runs late, this could be money well spent. But if you just want to have a wireless connection to use carplay then this well be more than you’d want to pay.For me, it is money well spent for what this offers.

This product was sent to me for review, as part of AIMartz Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.I was particularly drawn to it, because I’d like to have wireless CarPlay in my car, without adding an extra display screen that might obstruct my view. Unfortunately, the Atotozone didn’t live up to expectations. In terms of build quality, the unit itself appears to have been fairly well-made; its construction is robust, with a sleek and compact finish that should make it ideal for placing anywhere around a car’s dashboard. It would be a little easier to place the device, however, if the included cable wasn’t so short. It’s so bad that the unit ends up dangling off the dashboard – you’d need some tape to hold it down, if you don’t have a low enough ‘shelf’ to put it on.I attempted to connect it to my Dacia Sandero. The car registered that ‘something’ was connected (the screen showed a ‘reading iPod device’ message constantly), but, couldn’t progress beyond that. I tried switching cables, making sure the USB ports needed were clean, etc. Unfortunately, nothing I did worked, so I was unable to test it any further.Since this item’s listing is quite vague, I am left wondering whether my car is actually compatible, or whether the device itself is faulty – a great shame.
